Welcome to Threshold
We are a friendly rural church doing life in the villages near Lincoln. Our vision is to develop small Christian communities in the places we live - simple, creative communities which are helpful for growing in faith in Jesus.

Each small community sets its own rhythm and comes together twice a month for ‘big church’. We also hang out online once a month with our friends from Dorset and Norway for storytelling and prayer.
Join us on weeks 1 & 3 at Welton Village Hall for a family-friendly, informal gathering. Expect worship, bible teaching, and lots of fun.
We are developing smaller groups that do life in different locations and in different ways across the villages around Lincoln. We often talk about these as ‘small boats’.
On week 2 we run a Community Cafe at Welton Village Hall. Expect cake and lots of cups of tea. Crafts for kids too. All free.
Okay Okay! You may have heard us talk about boats and harbours. We feel this is a picture that God has given us to guide how Threshold should develop. In short, we see each small community like a small boat - agile, unique, built for fishing and adventure. We also see our gathered times together a bit like a harbour - spaces for rest, celebration, shelter, building new boats, support, and so on. You can read more about this vision in our booklet.
Our teaching goes online so you can catch up at home or in your small group. Check out the links below for more!
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. (Acts 2:43-45)
